Meet Pat Esch
Patricia Terze Esch, Attorney and Counselor
Pat Esch has over 40 years of legal experience in the areas estate planning, probate, trust administration, real estate, and small business.
Estate Planning: Pat works with clients during the estate planning process to identify her clients’ goals, analyze her clients’ personal and financial situations, and customize and draft unique estate plans that best align with her clients’ needs. This includes the drafting of deeds, wills, trusts, prenuptial agreements, durable powers of attorney, and patient advocate designations.
Probate and Trust Administration: Pat guides families in settling their loved ones’ affairs after death. Pat’s work in this area includes all aspects of probate court administration and trust administration to ensure that the deceased parties’ estate plan is properly carried out. Pat has been appointed by the court to serve as the personal representative in several probate estates and has served as the Trustee for several clients, which gives her hands-on experience on how to settle a client’s probate and/or trust estate.
Real Estate and Business Formation: Pat has assisted many clients with for sale by owner real estate transactions and family mortgages and has formed numerous corporations and limited liability companies and have advised the businesses during their existence.
Pat graduated from Jackson Lumen Christi High School, Michigan State University and obtained her law degree in 1982 from the University of Dayton School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Michigan and is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Grand Rapids Bar Association.
Pat is married and has three adult children and one grandchild. She is a member St. Jude Catholic Church where she has served the church in various capacities; is a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, where she serves as Treasurer and celebrates her Irish heritage (on her mom’s side) through charitable works and promoting her Irish culture and heritage; and is a member of the Michigan State University and the University of Dayton alumni associations.
